Abstract Submission Guidelines

All accepted abstracts will be published online on a closed portal/platform.
All presenting authors must be registered for the conference by 18 May 2026 to confirm their place in the programme. Presenters will be offered an extented deadline of the Early Bird Registration fee until 18 May.
When submitting your abstract, please indicate whether you would like an oral presentation if eligible, or a poster. All submissions will be evaluated by the scientific committee who will select abstracts for oral presentation. All other accepted abstracts will be presented as posters.
Acceptance Notification
All abstracts received by the indicated deadline will be evaluated by a panel of experts. The submitting author will receive a confirmation of acceptance for oral presentation or poster presentation, or a notice of rejection, by email by 4 May 2026.
ABSTRACT STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
- Language: Abstracts should be written in English.
- Abstract title: The title should not exceed 30 words and should be written in sentence case. Please do not type a full stop (.) at the end of the title.
- Keywords: You may enter a maximum of 5 keywords, describing the content of your abstract for scheduling and indexing purposes. Avoid general terms.
- Themes: Abstracts must be submitted under one of the following themes:
- Forensic Pathology
- Clinical Forensic Medicine
- Forensic Genetics
- Forensic Toxicology
- Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Archaeology
- Forensic Imaging
- Forensic Cardiolog and Genetics
- Forensic Odontology
- Forensic Technicians
- Abstract text: The abstract must not exceed 350 words.
- The abstract must be structured in the following four specified subtitles: Background incl. aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
Abstracts can be accompanied with one figure/table. The figure or table must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format and max 5 MB. - Previously published work may be presented, but there must then be relevant references
- Registration of authors: Names, institutional affiliations, cities, countries and email addresses of all contributing authors should be provided. The presenting author (not necessarily the first author) should be identified by a checkmark.
